About The Village School of Dance:
The Village School of Dance was started in 2008, by our Principal Katherine, and since then has grown to encompass the needs of all the dancers who attend. Across our three branches in Wimbledon Village, Dorking and Royal Tunbridge Wells, we run regular productions and summer schools, as well as offering a full range of Ballet, Modern, Tap, Acrobatics, Pointe Work and Body Conditioning classes for children and adults, as well as Darcey Bussell’s brilliant high-intensity fitness class (which is also great fun!), DDMIX. More recently, we decided to build a competition team who dance and compete, representing our school in theatres around the South East.
Our children’s Ballet lessons follow the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus and the Modern and Tap classes follow the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance Syllabus. While following these syllabi, our wonderful teachers are dedicated to inspiring our dancers, pushing them to achieve their best and educating them in all aspects of the world of dance, in every lesson.
We are a happy school, welcoming everyone through our doors. Our mission going forward is to improve technique across all classes, in a kind and nurturing way.
Our school is currently very fast growing and for the right candidate, there are always opportunities to take on more hours, responsibilities and even extra work during the holidays!
