THINGS TO DO THIS HALF TERM NEAR WIMBLEDON

If you saw our last post about half term and you want more, here you have some more things to do with children really close to Wimbledon!

6. Flip Out!

Take an hour off and go with the children to the biggest trampoline park in London, there is something on offer for all ages!

Flip Out Wandsworth is based in an ideal location not far from Wimbledon, Clapham and Fulham.

7. Visit Hampton Court Palace

The Tudor palace fills with romantic joy as Tudor courtiers try to win each other’s love and attention – and yours. A day out for the whole family, with special activities for children!

Become a Time Explorer and discover all about courtly love in the Tudor times by taking part in a fun filled palace quest. Collect your quest map on arrival at the palace, meet courtiers, solve puzzles and create your own friendship gift.

8. Kew Garden

Family fun at Kew, the Gardens of epic adventure…

From the tallest tree to the deadliest seed, from the sneakiest flower to the smelliest plant, there is a world of wonder to explore at London’s Kew Gardens. Welcome to Kids’ Kew!

You can also Print out the map and follow the trails when you visit the Gardens.

    Adult Standard: £15

    Children 4-16: £3.5

9. Behind the scenes: tour the spirit collection
(Natural History Museum)

Go behind the scenes with our knowledgeable science educators for a look at the Museum’s fascinating zoology collection preserved in spirit.

As we explore some of the Darwin Centre’s 27 kilometres of shelves, you’ll encounter numerous treasures hidden among the 22 million animal specimens housed here.

You’ll meet Archie, our 8.62-metre-long giant squid, view specimens collected by Charles Darwin himself and learn more about our cutting-edge research.

    Adult: £10

  • Ages

    The tour is suitable for adults and children +8.

    Children -16 must be accompanied by an adult.

10. Bocketts Farm Park

Enjoy a great family day out this February Half term with the start of the spring lambing!

You can see over 70 gorgeous new born lambs; meet the Shepherd in sessions throughout the day; watch bird flying demonstrations and meet miniature Shetland ponies (check dates and times).
